Happy Halloween (Buggy Style)!

Happy Halloween!!

To celebrate, we took our little ladybug to the Lawn at UVa for some Halloween fun. Every year, the Lawn is decorated for Halloween. There are always lots of kids trick or treating and showing off their costumes, and this year was no exception! We met up with some of Kate's friends (and their parents!) and had a great time!

Below are some pictures of our ladybug and her pals.

This bug is ready to go!

A good bug loves her Dada...

And her Mama too!

Our bug and her buzzing buggy friends, Riley and Avery!

Turner, the race car driver! Kate was in awe of Turner's pumpkin (Oh yeah, and his Wheat Thins!).

Cousin Adelyn, the cutest duck on the Lawn!

Every bug needs to spread her wings...

And learn to climb a tree...

And hopefully not eat too many other bugs in the process... :)

Snacks + Friends+ Learning to fly = One Happy Bug!

By the way, who knew this costume was also so tasty!?!

That's All Folks! Happy Halloween!

Kate and I are so blessed to be a part of a wonderful playgroup. We look forward to Tuesdays when we all get together each week! Kate LOVES her friends, and I LOVE her friends and their Mamas! :) We have been talking about getting pictures of the group for months, and we finally succeeded this week!

Below are pictures of each of the kids from oldest to youngest.

Football Fan!

This weekend, we took Kate to see Virginia play Eastern Michigan in football. I feel like all that I do is blog about Virginia football games, but that is pretty much all we do every weekend! :)

Our girl LOVES to tailgate (like her mother) and watch the games (like her father)!

Enjoy a few of the pictures from this weekend's game!

Taking this tailgating thing seriously.. She is holding on to the back of the car and smiling!

This is one of my favorites! She was so excited that the tailgate had all of her favorite foods --Chicken, mac and cheese AND wheat thins (all of the major food groups! ;))

Walking to the game--she did not want our help!

She would not even look at me for a picture during the game! Like father, like daughter!

We were excited for a victory!

Baby Love

On Thursday our dear friends, Todd and Katherine, welcomed their son, Colin, into the world. He is too cute for words, and we could not be more excited for them!! Kate is also super excited for her best friend, Turner, who is now a proud big brother!

In the weeks prior to Colin's birth, Kate and Turner have done quite a bit of "baby loving" of their own to practice for his arrival.

Enjoy these pictures of Colin and his welcoming committee!

Oh, I love him!

Turner is a natural! What a good big brother he will be! Sorry you had to "practice" with a girl doll, Turner, that is all we have in this house! ;)

Kate "dancing" with the baby! Don't worry, Colin, we won't let her dance with you quite yet!

Congratulations, Kat, Todd and Turner! We are THRILLED for you!!

Sweet Carolina Girl

This weekend, we took Kate to her very first Carolina football game. We all root for Virginia (and yes, that means me too!), unless they are playing UNC, in which case our house is a little divided. ;) Carolina had not won a football game in Charlottesville in my lifetime, but they pulled out all of the stops to win at Kate's first game. :)

We also celebrated Lisee's birthday with a birthday tailgate. Aunt Ashley planned a perfect tailgate, and we had so much fun! Happy birthday, Lisee! We love you!

Enjoy a few of the game day pictures!
