We just got back from a week at the beach with Robby's family and the McNerney family. The two families have been going to the beach together for 22 years!! Unfortunately, due to work, food poisoning, class and a back injury, the Wood family did not have a very large contingent at the beach this year while we were there...hence the reason, you won't see our usual big family photos! However, we did get lots of pictures of our girl having fun! Kate was so happy to be back at the beach and especially to have her buddies, Adelyn, Turner and Colin at her side!
The night before we headed to the beach, we spent the night in Norfolk. Robby and I took Kate to the aquarium in Virginia Beach, and she was in heaven!! She loved all of the fish, and she especially loved the sea turtles and the sharks. She even tried to give the shark a hug and a "tiss" (kiss) when he swam her way. Luckily, there was a large glass wall between them, but we may have to work on that one! ;)
We had a blast, and since we have been home, Kate has been talking an awful lot about "more beach," and Addie, Turner and Colin!!
Enjoy the pictures of our time!
Kate at the aquarium...we had so much fun!

"TURTLE!!" Kate was crazy about this guy...
And he seemed to like her too!
Back at the hotel...Kate had to make some important calls...

Before this trip, Kate would barely touch the sand. However after seeing Addie and Turner playing in the sand, Kate even took her shoes off! Let's hope her friends are always this good of an influence!!:)
